Richa Kapoor, a post graduate in Occupational Therapy (Gold Medallist) from Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi, has over 15 years of experience in managing kids as young as 1 day old to adolescents with developmental delay. She is certified in Sensory Integration from University of Southern California, USA.
She is Level 1 HWT Certified and also certified in Sensory Enrichment Therapy, MN Reflex Integration (MNRI) Methodology and Assessment of General Movements. She is Brain Gym 101 certified and also had her training with Eminent Occupational Therapist such as Paula Acquilla and Carol Kranowitz .
Presently she is working as a Consultant with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and Apollo Cradle wherein she has developed Early Stimulation Programs in the NICU of these hospitals.
She has been running high risk OPD and follow up clinics for infants with potential development delays.
In addition to being the head of Sensitivity Child’s Skill Enhancement Clinic and Early Intervention Centre she is also a visiting Consultant with various reputed Schools of Delhi and has conducted customised workshops for therapists, teachers and Parents on various topics like Handwriting Strategies, Child Development Milestones and Managing Behaviour in Classroom.
She has developed Learning Centre Teams for many schools to help children with special needs.
She has been extensively trained by the Founder of HWT, Jan Olsen, OTR and has undergone rigorous training in the US to become the first ever HWT International Presenter.
She is also a Guide, Examiner & Visiting Lecturer for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Occupational Therapy courses at Jamia Hamdard & Indraprastha Universities.
She has been conferred with award of appreciation by the Chief Minister of Haryana Shri B S Hooda for her contribution towards Manual of Childhood Disability organised by Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
She has also been awarded for her dedicated services by Academic Height and Bachpan Chain of Schools.
She is a keen learner and passionate about her work. She emphasises the functional approach, an amalgamation of various approaches and protocols, to achieve early and sustained outcomes.
